Can I sort numbers mixed with text?

Yes. Choose “Alphabetical” for mixed content — numbers will be sorted as strings. For pure number lists where you want 2 before 10, choose “Numeric” sort.

Will it remove blank lines?

Yes, blank lines are automatically removed during sorting regardless of which options you select.

Is my data stored anywhere?

What’s the difference between alphabetical and numeric sorting?

Alphabetical sort treats items as text — “10” comes before “2” because “1” < “2”. Numeric sort treats items as numbers — 2 comes before 10. Always use numeric sort for number-only lists.

Can I sort by the second word in each line?

Currently the tool sorts by the entire line content. For advanced sorting needs, consider using a spreadsheet application.

• Enable “Trim whitespace” before deduplicating to catch duplicates with inconsistent spacing
